Confidentiality

Each therapy session is confidential following EFPA ethical guidelines. Part of the counseling process involves supervision where certain aspects of your sessions may be discussed with an accredited and qualified supervisor who is also bound by these confidentiality guidelines. Moreover, recognizable details, such as your name, will not be disclosed even during supervision. There are limitations regarding confidentiality, arising from the legal obligation to protect people from harm. If there is a concern about the safety of yourself or others around you, this will be discussed in therapy with you before any action is taken. As a part of my practice, I create videos for psychoeducation purposes. The topics I discuss are always based on a common thread I find amongst many people and are never about one single person.
